To the editor:

I’ve seen it on your lawns. I’ve seen it on your hats. I’ve seen it on your flagpoles under your American or Confederate flags, or just flying by itself. At this point I have to take you at your word.

As we wind to the end of the term of the first president since Herbert Hoover to lose jobs during his time in office, the American economy is in serious trouble.

Our allies no longer take us at our word, and we’re no longer the leader of the free world. American influence diminishes by the day.

A pandemic rages across the world and our response to it has been the worst in the advanced world.

Civil unrest stalks our cities. Mistrust between police and the people they protect is rampant. This should never happen.

The election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is a chance for a reset in this country. Joe is a good and decent man and can be a great president. You’ve said for more than four years that you want to “Make America Great Again.” It’s time to step up and prove it. America has become the sick man of the world and all hands have to be on board to restore it to her proper place among nations. As the leader, the visionary, and of the dream of people everywhere that there is a better way to live. We can do all of this and more, if we all work together as not Democrats or Republican, but as Americans.

I get that your candidate losing an election is tough. Trust me I know.

But at the end of the day us accepting that loss and moving on is what makes America the exceptional country that it is.

As I said I take you at your word. Let’s pull together to “Make America Great Again.” But if you’re tired of America being a great country then you can spend the next four years trying to tear everything down. We saw it with the continual Clinton “investigations” and impeachment. We saw it with birtherism and Benghazi with Obama. We already see it with the denial of the obvious Biden victory. It’s time to build America back up or tear it down.

The ball is in your court.
