HIGH POINT — Robert Wayne “Bob” Whitton Jr., 78, of High Point, passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born Oct. 3, 1942, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Robert Wayne Whitton Sr. and the late Anna Twitty Whitton. Bob was a retired machine tool sales executive and an active member of Emerywood Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Danneal Burdette Whitton, of the home; daughters, Tammy Whitton Fagan, of South Carolina, Chelsea Burdette Whitton and husband, Matthew Yeager, of Ohio, and Lindsay Whitton Noble and husband, Collin Noble, of Cary; sister, Jean Whitton; grandchildren, Kemper Fagan, Walt Fagan, Trent Fagen and Ford Fagan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Wayne “Trey” Whitton III.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Floral Garden Park, with The Reverend Timothy Peoples officiating.
