HIGH POINT — Paul “Mike” Eads Jr., 91, passed away at home on Saturday, March 27, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Kansas, Alabama on June 10, 1929 to the late Paul Eads and Fannie Dobbins Eads. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Tysinger Eads; his brothers, William B. Eads, Grady Eads, George Eads, Lester Eads, Freeman Eads, William W. Eads, J.D. Eads and James Eads, and by his sisters, Bethel Haley, Pauline Pierce, Lorene Alexander, Charline Hill, Florence Wallace and Deana Tucker, all of Kansas, Alabama.

Paul is survived by his children, Richard Eads and wife Ann of Thomasville, Rhonda Davis of Archdale, Kim Eads of the home, Joey Eads and wife Cheryl of Sophia; and one stepdaughter, Bonnie Latour of Pleasant Garden. Paul is also survived by grandchildren, Brian Eads and wife Amy of High Point, Angie Eads of Archdale, Elinda Tolley of High Point, Sammy Crater of Archdale and Cody Lucas of Farmer; stepgrandchildren, Art Newman and wife Jeannie of New York, Pamela Earls and husband Shannon of Pleasant Garden; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Paul retired from Hatteras Yachts. He enjoyed church, family, hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.

A graveside service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held on Friday, April 2, at 1 p.m. at Floral Garden Park Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Meindl officiating. Paul’s family will receive friends on Thursday, April 1, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
