BOONVILLE — Marvin Eugene Lockhart, 75, of Boonville, went to be with Jesus, Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. He was born August 5, 1946 to Robert and Notre Kimball Lockhart in High Point. Marvin was a long-haul truck driver and retired from LC Transportation. Following retirement, he worked for the Yadkin County School System as a bus driver for West Yadkin Elementary. Marvin was a hard worker and his greatest joys were serving Jesus and spending time with his family. He attended Pineland Street Full Gospel Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Michael Lockhart and Steven Lockhart; granddaughter Caroline Kearns and a brother Robert (Bobby) Lockhart. Left to cherish his memory: his beloved wife Rita Tucker Lockhart of the home; four daughters, Angela Stone and husband David of Kernersville, Stephanie Lockhart of Boonville, Mary Kearns and husband Tim of Wallburg, and Kimberly Ponzi and husband Mark of Boonville; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; brother J.B. Lockhart and wife Judy of High Point; and sister Mary Barnes and husband Danny of Trinity.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, in the sanctuary of Pineland Street Full Gospel Church; 1028 Pineland Street, Greensboro, NC with the Reverend Jess Lambert, the Reverend Dean Smith and the Reverend Mark Hunt officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-1:45 p.m.
