LEXINGTON — Hansel “Dean” Allred, 64, a resident of Lexington, passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Davidson County on Sept. 6, 1957, to Hansel Lee and Georgia Frazier Allred. Dean worked for Car Quest for many years.
On Dec. 16, , he married Phyllis Kay Hedrick. He was a loving, gentle and wonderful person. Dean will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother and a son-in-law, Dave Wilcox.
Per Dean’s wishes, there will not be a formal service. Davidson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
Dean is survived by his loving wife of almost 32 years, Phyllis Allred, of the home; his father, Hansel Lee Allred, of High Point; sons, Michael Allred (Nicole), of Thomasville, and Keith Burkhart (Crystal), of Lexington; daughter, Jennifer Wilcox, of Winston-Salem; a sister, Kim Milan (Roger), of Lexington; granddaughters, Madison, Ella, Nola and Emersyn; and many other family members and friends.
