THOMASVILLE — Ella Rose Adams Henderson, 92, of Piedmont Crossing went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 1, 2021.

Ella was born on May 17, 1928 to the late Roy “R.A.” Alton Adams and Eva Champion Adams. She attended Lillington High School where she graduated as valedictorian, later finishing her degree in English and Spanish at Meredith College. Ella was involved with various Presbyterian churches as she lived in many different areas of the Southeast. Her life was as full and beautiful as the orchids in her garden. She loved music, orchid gardening and judging, traveling, nature, reading, trips with her family, and her Savior most of all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William James “Bill” Henderson; a brother, Dewey Allen Adams; a sister, Billie Jean Worley; son-in-law, Ed.

Surviving are her two step-daughters, Cheryl Henderson and Linda Kalemkiewicz, both of Michigan; two sisters, Landi Adams of Thomasville, Margaret Kluttz (Steve) of Woodleaf; a brother, Bob Adams (Galynn) of South Carolina; sister-in-law, Mary Jewel of Virginia; two special friends, Vernell and Jo; several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the J.C. Green and Sons funeral home chapel in Thomasville. There will be no viewing or formal visitation.
