HIGH POINT — God brought a special gift on June 1, 1964, to Rosa and Roosevelt Nelson Sr., in the form of their third born child, Andrew Lee Nelson (“Lee Lee”, as he was fondly called by family and friends). God called Andrew home to rest on Nov. 15, 2020, at 12:43 p.m. at WFBH High Point Medical Center.

Lee Lee was educated in the Guilford County Schools system at Southwest Guilford High School. He gave his life to Christ on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020.

Lee Lee was a great father, a wonderful son, great brother, awesome uncle and overall a kind hearted individual. His famous quote was “It is what it is.” He would always ask, “You good, you need anything?”

Andrew leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Daniel Davis of Washington, DC; his parents, Roosevelt Sr. and Rosa Nelson of High Point, NC; one brother, Roosevelt (Diane) Nelson Jr.; two sisters, Wanda McClellan and Cindy Nelson of High Point, NC; three nieces, Bianica Nelson, Erica (Eurri) Davis and Victoria McClellan; two great-nieces, Eniyah Davis and Zaria Nelson; three nephews, Devon Nelson, Eurri Davis Jr. and Eli Davis all of High Point, NC; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, at Carolina Biblical Gardens. Mr. Nelson may be viewed today (Nov. 20) at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel from 4 until 7 p.m.
