New bridges complete
Crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation recently completed a replacement of two aging bridges on Interstate 85 Business near the River Road interchange between Jamestown and High Point. The final stage for the project will involve disassembling the temporary span that carried traffic while the two new bridges were built. The old bridges dated from the outset of the interstate highway system in the 1950s.
