On Saturday, Aug. 7, Mitchell’s Grove UMC, 3511 MLK Jr. Drive, High Point, invites the public to a Breakfast Supper to raise funds for disaster response. The all-you-can-eat meal will consist of eggs, pancakes, Neese’s Sausage, grits, biscuits, jellies, juice and beverages. The meal will start at 5 p.m. in fellowship hall with a cost of donations only. Mitchell’s Grove UMC has sent their Disaster Response Truck and teams of volunteers into disasters in many areas.


Trinity Memorial United Methodist Church, 7140 N.C. 62, Trinity, will host a community health screening day Monday, Aug. 16, for those who want to learn about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other chronic conditions. Mitchell’s Grove UMC, 3511 MLK Jr Drive, High Point, will be hosting a Hotdog Lunch every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Two all-beef hot dogs with homemade chili, chips and beverage for $5.
