STORM DELAY
Due to severe winter weather causing COVID vaccine shipment delays, the Randolph County Public Health Department COVID vaccine appointment line is closed. Appointments for Thursday, Feb. 18, will be rescheduled. The appointment line will reopen once the department knows when to expect vaccine shipments to resume.
COVID-19 NOTIFICATIONS
To notify people as quickly as possible if they have tested positive for or been exposed to someone with COVID-19, the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services and local health departments have expanded how the agencies contact people. All residents who have provided cellphone or email addresses will receive an automatic text or email message to connect to follow-up resources. People receiving a text or email will be directed to a secure website that provides additional information about how to protect themselves and their loved ones, how to get support if needed to safely isolate and how to contact someone immediately for additional information.
CLINIC TRANSPORTATION
The Davidson County Department of Senior Services is offering free transportation to COVID vaccination appointments in the county. To be eligible, individuals must be a Davidson County resident, age 65 and older, and have an appointment for a vaccination scheduled. To schedule transportation, call at least 48 hours prior to appointment at 336-242-2947. This number is for transportation to appointments only, not to schedule a vaccination. To schedule a vaccination, call 336-236-3096 or schedule online at www.co.davidson.nc.us/976/covid-19-vaccne.
