Assault

• Roger C. Parrish, 37, Bescher Chapel Road, Trinity, was charged with one count each of assault on a female by a male over 18 years of age, interfering with emergency communication and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, June 19.

• Eshay Bethea, 30, Kirkwood Street, High Point, was charged with assault and battery or simple assault, June 19.

• John Maxwell, 23, homeless, High Point, was charged with one count each of kidnapping, communicating threats, assault on a female by a male over 18 years of age and violating the Domestic Violence Act, June 18.

• Christian Stover, 25, Abberton Way, High Point, was charged with assault on a female by a male over 18 years of age, June 18.

• Dana M. Young, 46, Cotton Grove Road, Lexington, was charged with one count each of assault and battery or simple assault and misdemeanor larceny, June 18.

• Scotty Gonzales, 20, Bradley Place, High Point, was charged with one count each of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and prohibited discharge of a firearm or other weapons, June 18.

• Donel Inzar, 26, Nathan Hunt Drive, High Point, was charged with one count each of possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and possession of a stolen firearm, June 19.

Incidents

• Police are investigating reports of shots fired in the area of Wise Avenue and Sharon Street. Two shell casings were found in the roadway on Sharon Street, June 18.

• Police are seeking whoever stole a lawn mower worth $250 from the yard of a residence on Oak Hollow Drive. The resident had walked inside for a moment and left the lawn mower in the front yard. The resident told officers that upon returning to the front yard a few moments later the mower was gone. A neighbor advised that a burgundy, older-model two-door truck had driven by heading south with the lawn mower in the truck bed, June 19.

• Police are investigating a report of shots fired along Interstate 74 westbound near the Greensboro Road exit. The window of a vehicle may have been struck by gunfire, June 18.
